The Andaz Maui at Wailea – Our Favorite Maui Escape

The Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts in all of Maui. From 15 beautiful beachfront acres, to direct access to Mokapu Beach, this hotel is a must stay when visiting the island. There’s also 4 cascading outdoor infinity pools, 5 on site dining options, a complimentary car service within the Wailea area, and even ukelele lessons! Which makes it hard to even want to leave the resort in the first place!

Trey and I had the most amazing time making this hotel our home base while visiting Maui, and here is my full review and experience of my stay at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and why I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Maui!

THE PROPERTY & ROOMS

The Andaz Maui boasts a total of 321 rooms, with 35 suites and 35 villas, each with their own private lanai. Trey and I stayed in a standard King Bed with Ocean View and enjoyed the sunrise every morning from our beautiful balcony!

ACTIVITIES OFFERED BY HOTEL

Because the Andaz Maui sits on 15 acres of beach, you get direct access to Mokapu Beach, and have plenty of options of water acitivites, You can go on a snorkeling expedition, experience an authentic beach front Polynesian Luau, or go for a sunset sail! You can make reservations with the Andaz Beach Crew throughout the day with excursions every half hour, including complimentary kayaking tours, daily stand up paddle boarding lessons!

On top of that, the Andaz also has 3 infinity pools and a more secluded spa pool, which is perfect for reading, lounging, and enjoying some me time.

Andaz Maui also has complimentary classes including ukulele lessons, lei making, and hula! On top of that, there are daily fitness classes that include HIIT Pilates, Yoga, and Tabata!

RESTAURANTS AND DINING

The onsite dining options at the Andaz Maui include Ka’ana Kitchen, Lehua Lounge, Morimoto, Feast at Mokapu, Mokapu Market, and the Bumbye Beach Bar.

We dined at Ka’ana Kitchen for dinner and LOVED everything that we ate!! I would highly recommend making reservations here, as the chef uses seasonal ingredients and fresh fish. You can also opt in to purchase a breakfast package, which comes with an all you can eat buffet every morning.

Because of the complimentary car service in Wailea, you can access all of the restaurants and shops in the Wailea area as well.

SURROUNDING AREAS & WHAT TO DO IN MAUI

ROAD TO HANA

Of course while in Maui, visiting the Road to Hana is one of the MUST DO’s. We woke up at 6AM one morning and began the drive and had the best time. Our favorites were the Three Bears Fall and Hanawi Falls. Make sure you’re considerate of the locals when driving the Road to Hana and use the pullovers cautiously!

IAO VALLEY

Iao Valley is a State Monument located in Central Maui. There’s a $5 entrance fee per vehicle and it’s most iconic sight is the Iao Needle.
