Outdoor Movie Night with Amazon Prime

Although Trey and I typically have extremely busy and sometimes opposite schedules, we always make a point to have a date night once a week. And with summer being back in full swing, this is the PERFECT idea for a summer date night: an outdoor movie night in the comfort of your own backyard. It’s affordable, convenient, and you can get everything you need in just one place!

What You’ll Need: Amazon Prime

Because we have such chaotic schedules, it can be challenging to sit down and plan out our dates. Oftentimes, they are spur of the moment, last minute plans– which is actually quite fun. Having Amazon Prime though, makes all of our spontaneity possible! Our Prime membership lets us save time and order what we need online with fast, free delivery. With Amazon Fresh, we also get free grocery delivery, and have access to amazing movies and TV shows on Prime Video. Combining the three together, we were able to have the perfect outdoor movie night.

Prime Video, however, is probably one of my favorite benefits that is included with a Prime Membership. You get access to thousands of popular movies and TV shows with Prime Video including Amazon Original Series.

These are just a handful of the many benefits that are available with a Prime membership. And you may not know but, Amazon offers a discounted Prime membership for customers receiving qualifying government assistance to make its everyday selection and savings more accessible. A regular Prime membership is $12.99 but qualifying government assistance recipients will only pay $5.99/month (regularly $12.99/month!) and receive all of the same amazing benefits!

  • Fast and free delivery
  • Award winning movies & TV episodes with Prime Video
  • Ad-free listening to 2 million songs with Amazon Music
  • Thousands of books to read from Prime Reading
  • Unlimited, full-resolution photo storage with Amazon Photos
  • Savings on prescription drugs from select pharmacies in the U.S.
  • Save up to 20% on subscriptions to diapers, baby food, & more with Subscribe & Save.

As many of you know, my family grew up on government assistance and food stamps. And when I think back on how hard my parents worked, I can only imagine what difference Amazon could’ve made for them. From being able to use food stamps on groceries and free delivery with Amazon Fresh to having a discounted and reoccurring subscription of diapers and baby food, Amazon is really doing everything they can to benefit working class families. If you know anyone who might qualify for their savings, I highly recommend letting them know about this program!
